Be sure to keep your campsite clean and well lit during festival picking. I saw a fellow once fall over a bag of charcoal and bust up his expensive guitar by falling on it. That was a sad evening and easily avoided by keeping the place cleaned up especially when you have people wandering in and around the camper.
When attending shows, whether they be festivals, or indoor concerts, do yourself a favor and try to spend some time talking to the musicians who are performing at the event. This may be most beneficial for the musicians reading this little tip, but if you don’t play, and are just an attentive fan, you can still benefit from chatting with them. For the musicians in the audience, you’ll find a storehouse of wisdom to be gathered from discussions with professionals in the business, as well as insights into how this business is done. Fans on any level will come to know and love this music even more as they get to know those who are involved with it at the highest levels. It’s just another way to celebrate the greatness of this wonderful music. Submitted By: Dave Rusell Visit his site at: www.TheBluegrassJournal.com
